It is a cooperative effort of the language services of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) and the United Nations.<\/p>\n<p>The School of Conference Interpreting &amp; Translation (SCIT) at Herzen University, is a member of leading international consortia for the training of conference interpreters and translators:<\/p>\n<div class=\"su-list\" style=\"margin-left:0px\">\n<ul>\n<li><i class=\"sui sui-check-circle\" style=\"color:#5c9ce2\"><\/i> <a href=\"https:\/\/languagecareers.un.org\/dgacm\/Langs.nsf\/xpONetwork.xsp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> The UN MoU Universities Network<\/a> to train conference interpreters and translators for the UN.<\/li>\n<li><i class=\"sui sui-check-circle\" style=\"color:#5c9ce2\"><\/i> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.emcinterpreting.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The European Masters in Conference Interpreting (EMCI) Consortium<\/a>, an elite consortium of 15 schools which provide training in conference interpreting which is recognised worldwide.<\/li>\n<li><i class=\"sui sui-check-circle\" style=\"color:#5c9ce2\"><\/i> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iamladp.org\/content\/universities-contact-group\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">IAMLADP \u2013 University Contact Group<\/a>, acts as a liaison point for the further development of relations and co-operation between international organizations and training providers\/universities.<\/li>\n<li><i class=\"sui sui-check-circle\" style=\"color:#5c9ce2\"><\/i> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ciuti.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CIUTI<\/a> &#8211; Conf\u00e9rence internationale permanente d&#8217;instituts universitaires de traducteurs et interpr\u00e8tes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p>SCIT was founded at Herzen University in 2008.
