Mrs Nazare Vinha, translator at DGT, gave a series of presentations and master classes in St Petersburg School of Conference Interpreting and Translation.<\/span><\/p>\n

The presentations covered various issues of DGT and EU which included the Directorate-General for Translation at the European Commission, multilingualism, traineeships, documentation and terminological resources. These classes helped foster awareness of the DGT and of translation issues in general among the students enhancing the Commission\u2019s image and promoting the notion of multilingualism.<\/span><\/p>\n

Also Mrs Vinha gave master classes in translation from English, Spanish and French into Russian and a series of workshops where she focused on training in translation memory technology using Trados. <\/span><\/p>\n
