SpbS Graduates in demand on the job market!
SpbS graduates are claiming their rightful space on the language mediation market in Russia and in the world.
In 2009-2011 40 graduates of the School have been awarded diplomas in conference interpreting and conference translation. This is where they find employment:
The MFA of Russia – 7 people (5 are on staff in the Department of Linguistic Support (Moscow) and one person holds a position at the Russian Mission to the EC, one person is employed at the MFA Office in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky), staff interpreters.
The UN Headquarters (New York) – 4 are staff translators in the Russian Translation Service, and another 2 are currently going through the staffing procedure to enter the Service later in the year.
The UN Information Centre (Moscow) – one person as a staff interpreter.
10 graduates are on the UN freelance interpreters list
2 graduates were on short-term assignments with the Russian Translation Service in the UN Offices in Geneva and Vienna
One person is on the EU freelance interpreters list
