Vladimir Kornev is a freelance conference interpreter and translator (A: Russian, B: German, C: English) with over 15 years of experience on the Russian and international markets. Having worked mostly with German language, he has interpreted for a great number of private companies, foundations and state institutions on all levels of German-Russian relations (from German Chancellor and Russian President over CEOs of transnational companies down to NGOs and family enterprises).

Vladimir Kornev is accompanying the work of Petersburger Dialog (German-Russian Forum of civil society with 10 working groups) since 2008 and has accumulated considerable experience working as personal interpreter for the Russian Chairman of the forum.

Since 2021 Vladimir Kornev works as freelance interpreter for ILO (Geneva) with English-German-Russian.

Vladimir Kornev graduated from St. Petersburg State University in 2005, finished his Ph.D. study in German Linguistics at St. Petersburg State University in 2010 and acquired the court interpreter certificate at Highschool of Applied Sciences in Winterthur (ZHAW, Switzerland) in 2008.

In 2005-2019 Vladimir Kornev taught consecutive interpreting as well as numerous other subjects at the Department of German Linguistics at St. Petersburg State University, since 2013 Vladimir Kornev teaches simultaneous interpreting (German -> Russian) at St. Petersburg School of Conference Interpreting and Translation (SCIT).
